CIJ Group Charter of Corporate Behavior

The CIJ group will conduct global corporate activities based on this Charter of Corporate Conduct to fulfill its corporate philosophy of “Using information technology, create a future considerate to both people and society.”
Moreover, the CIJ group will conduct corporate activities in accordance with social ethics and social needs by respecting the fundamental human rights of all people involved, as well as by complying with the letter and spirit of national and international laws and regulations.


  • 1. Provision of high-quality, safe, and reliable services and productsThe CIJ group will give due diligence to quality management and information security management while working to develop and provide high-quality, safe, and reliable services and products in IT-related fields that win customers’ satisfaction and trust.
  • 2. Fair and transparent corporate activitiesThe CIJ group will engage in fair, transparent, and open competition, conduct appropriate transactions, and build healthy and sound relationship with authorities, citizens, and organizations. In addition, the CIJ group will establish no relationship whatsoever with antisocial groups or organizations and will take a firm stand against these groups or organizations.
  • 3. Appropriate distribution of profitsThe CIJ group will conduct business activities in an efficient and sound manner to ensure an appropriate level of profits in order to provide adequate returns to shareholders through fair and equitable distribution of profits and the like. In addition, the CIJ group will actively disclose corporate information required by society in a timely manner.
  • 4. Provision of comfortable working environmentThe CIJ group will strive to provide a safe and comfortable working environment that gives consideration to the well-being of employees and collaborators, as well as foster an atmosphere where diversity and individuality are respected to nurture rich personal relations.
  • 5. Preservation of global environmentRecognizing that preserving the global environment is an issue important to all humans, the CIJ group will actively promote “clean activities” by considering the environment from all aspects in its business activities.
  • 6. Social contribution activitiesThe CIJ group will work to contribute to social welfare and social prosperity through its business activities, as well as actively engage in social contribution activities in the community as a good corporate citizen.
  • 7. Compliance with this CharterThe CIJ group will ensure compliance with this Charter by having its management set an example by leadership, as well as by periodically reviewing the awareness level to implement improvement measures based on the results of the review.

CIJ Group Code of Conduct


1. Provision of high-quality, safe, and reliable services and products


  • (1) Ensure safety and quality of products and servicesThe CIJ group will set up a cross-departmental quality management unit or system to clarify the release responsibility for a product or service, as well as provide products and services based on an independent quality assessment.
  • (2) Appropriately protect personal and customer informationThe CIJ group will establish an internal system to protect personal and customer information and promote the education of personal and customer information protection, as well as take technical and physical protection measures for systems and the like that handle those information.
  • (3) Win customers’ satisfaction and trustBy conducting mutual evaluation with customers, the CIJ group will verify the usefulness of developed products and provided services to visualize the results of the feedback.
  • (4) Support employees’ career and abilities developmentThe CIJ group will strive to establish an education system to develop abilities and keep pace with technology since technology innovation cycle is short in the IT industry.

2. Fair and transparent corporate activities


  • (1) Transaction with customersWhen conducting transaction with customers, the CIJ group will follow the laws and regulations as well as sound business practices. The CIJ group will not engage in gift-giving and/or entertainment aimed at obtaining unreasonable profits and the like.
  • (2) Transaction with suppliersWhen conducting transaction with suppliers, the CIJ group will strive to consider not only the economic rationality, but also compliance with laws and regulations, quality and safety, sustainability, fairness, etc. of the transaction so that both sides can fulfill their social responsibility.
  • (3) Attitude toward politics and governmentThe CIJ group will strive to keep a sound and normal relationship with politicians and government, strictly restraining behaviors that may be mistaken for collusive relationship, including patronage.
  • (4) Attitude toward antisocial groups or organizationsOn the basis of social justice and corporate social responsibility, the CIJ group will establish no relationship whatsoever with antisocial groups or organizations that pose a threat to social order and safety, and will take a firm stand against these groups or organizations.
  • (5) Respect for intellectual property rightsConsidering the importance of intellectual property rights in modern society, the CIJ group will strive to create, appropriately protect, and actively leverage intellectual property rights, as well as respect the intellectual property rights of others.
  • (6) Corporate governance to ensure trust on the CIJ groupThe CIJ group will explicitly state and enforce policies related to corporate governance to strengthen transparency and fairness in business management as well as ensure trust toward the consolidated business management.

3. Appropriate distribution of profits


  • (1) Prohibition of insider tradingThe CIJ group will not trade stocks that may fall under insider trading. Moreover, it will comply with laws and regulations related to the prevention of insider trading, as well as strive to maintain the necessary organizational system.
  • (2) Proper accountingTo ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the financial and tax accounting, the CIJ group will stipulate an accounting standard compliant with the corporate accounting principles and tax laws, and do proper accounting.
  • (3) Dividend distributionThrough efficient and sound business activities with social responsibility in mind, the CIJ group will work to ensure an appropriate level of profits to distribute as dividends in a fair, equitable, and timely manner.
  • (4) Disclosure of appropriate corporate informationThe CIJ group will aim at increasing business management transparency by disclosing appropriate corporate information, as well as win the trust of various stakeholders by continuously releasing information from the mid-to-long term perspective.

4. Provision of comfortable working environment


  • (1) Compliance with work rules and the likeThe CIJ group will comply with company internal rules and the like including work rules and the agreement on overtime and holiday work.
    In addition, it will set up meetings where employees and their representative(s) can talk or discuss with the management about working environment, including grasp of the compliance status.
  • (2) Maintenance and ensuring of workplace safety The CIJ group will comply with the Industrial Safety and Health Act and the like, and strive to prevent workplace crime or disaster, as well as maintain and ensure workplace safety and comfort. Furthermore, it will strive to prevent health issues such as mental disorders.
  • (3) Promotion of work-life balanceTo harmonize work and life, the CIJ group will study the introduction of alternative work arrangements, as well as strive to reduce working hours.
  • (4) Prohibition of sexual harassmentTo ensure and maintain a good workplace, the CIJ group will conduct awareness building activities to prevent acts of sexual harassment such as uninvited and unwelcome sexual advances.
  • (5) Prohibition of power harassmentThe CIJ group will strive to prevent acts of power harassment, where someone in a position of authority continuously offends the personality and dignity of an employee beyond the original scope of his/her function, degrading the employee’s working environment, or causing him/her fear for his/her employment.

5. Preservation of global environment


  • (1) Promotion of environmental managementThe CIJ group will set up an environmental policy and environmental objectives, and actively promote activities toward their achievement.
  • (2) Compliance with environmental laws and regulationsThe CIJ group will comply with environment-related laws, regulations, and ordinances, and strive to preserve the environment and prevent contamination through its corporate activities.
  • (3) Reduction of resources and energy consumptionThe CIJ group will strive to reduce power consumption, actively promote paperless, and reduce CO2.
  • (4) Promotion of Green PurchasingThe CIJ group will prioritize goods that have a reduced effect on human health and the environment when choosing and purchasing electronic equipment such as PCs and printers, copier paper, office supplies, etc. for its business activities.

6. Social contribution activities


  • (1) Contribution to society through business activitiesThe CIJ group, on its own accord, will choose causes where it can contribute to society by leveraging its expertise such as technology and know-how, and strive to resolve them.
  • (2) Organized social contribution activitiesThe CIJ group will strive to take interest in social issues, work on those issues voluntarily, and conduct effective social contribution activities by cooperating with external organization where deemed appropriate.
  • (3) Support for employees’ social contribution activitiesThe CIJ group will work to create an environment and opportunities for employees to conduct voluntary volunteer activities, and support their participation in social contribution activities.
